I'm a fan of this heroine because she's tomboyish, independent, can fight, brave and pretty. There is nothing wrong with “damsel in distress” characters or females that can't fight since not every woman/girl can do that HOWEVER if you're constantly needy or have no ounce of fire in you when your friends, family or your own life is in danger O_o then you aren't very interesting in my book.

Many people (mainly females since most tend to be annoying) hate on Tifa Lockhart because she poses a serious threat to the Aerith/Aeris x Cloud couple (despite the fact she was there from DAY ONE and her feelings for Cloud will NEVER be a light switch), she wears a mini skirt which makes her a 'slut' (even though she doesn’t carry herself like Holli Would plus there are plenty of other video game girls who wear less clothing than Tifa yet not much bitching is heard about them), is busty (A LOT of people tend to over exaggerate on her rack), she's a foxy tomboy & female haters are simply jealous but will never admit it, she’s despicable because of her gender when it comes to sexist Yaoi/Shounen ai/BL fantards, she happens to be an eye candy character for heterosexual guys and lastly is because “she lies” (Although we all do that, you might as well add Cloud to your hate list – since you’re going to hold something THAT petty against her – because his role in FF 7 is 90% a lie; Aerith/Aeris could even be included as well since she follows Cloud KNOWING he isn’t really the “SOLDIER” he claims to be).

I’ve spoken to different haters and listened to their reasons. The amount of hate on a character that isn't real from people I encounter is ridiculous and pathetic.

If people disliked/hated Tifa because she was acting like a bitch & hater toward Aerith/Aeris (much like Yukari from Persona 3 hating on Mitsuru/Aigis or Sai from Peach Girl hating on Momo) or she was acting all possessive over Cloud (like Shiho from My Hime and her ‘brother’ obsessions) THEN I could understand.

Wish people would grow the fuck up but that's too much like doing right

Oh and if ANY of you viewers think for one second that I'm a Cloud x Tifa supporter -_- you're seriously mistaken. I hate Cloud x Tifa & Cloud x Aerith/Aeris simply because I DO NOT LIKE CLOUD and in my opinion... he doesn't deserve EITHER girl (XD not even Sephiroth); especially Zack's girlfriend.

Shoving Tifa with Cloud just because the two “should/would have been had Zack not of died” is not acceptable and really unfair to Ms. Lockhart since it’s plain OBVIOUS Cloud lives in the past and punishes himself rather than appreciating what he has and not pushing others away.

Shoving Aerith/Aeris with Cloud just because he pretty much reminds her of her dead love interest (for blunt reasons) is also not acceptable in my eyes and is just as bad as Calintz from Magna Carta Tears of Blood hooking up with Reith’s IDENTICAL twin sister – who is literally a cheap imitation of Reith yet acts jealous toward her sister because of her childhood infatuation for Calintz she never grew out of – in the epilogue of the game.
